Welcome to Timberwood Middle School

UPDATE Friday, May 10: Due to severe weather in the Houston area, today's field trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science has been canceled.

UPDATE May 9: Regarding graffiti:

We know you're all eager for an update on the situation regarding graffiti found in two boys’ restrooms that alleged a threat to the school for Friday, May 10. The investigation continues. There is no evidence at this time of a credible threat or this being more than graffiti. A RUMOR circulated through social media that guns were found Monday on campus. This is NOT TRUE. No weapons have been found, only graffiti.

We continue to work with authorities and have precautions in place to provide a safe and secure campus. Humble ISD Police are providing greater police presence on campus. We held a staff meeting Thursday morning and reviewed lock-down procedures. Teachers will be locking classroom doors during the day on Friday as a precautionary measure.

Throughout the day today, teachers are speaking with students about this issue and remindingthem to let a responsible adult know if they know about anything that might present a safety or security risk to the campus.

We understand your concerns and as a community we are working to maintain as normal a day as possible on Friday.

Thank you for your support,
Kenneth Buck, Principal

alert Two boys restrooms have been defaced with graffiti. The words, "TMS next Sandy Hook May 10," were scrawled on the stall doors. Because the graffiti alleged a threat, police are working with school officials to investigate.
Several students who may have been responsible for the graffiti have been identified. At this point there is no evidence of a credible threat or that this is more than graffiti.
Appropriate precautions are being taken to ensure a safe and secure campus for students, including additional police presence on the campus this week.
