The International Baccalaureate Academy and Diploma Program at Humble High School would like to invite you to explore what the International Baccalaureate Program offers the 21st-Century Learner. 

 The IB Diploma Program is a highly- respected, highly- credible, complete educational program that prepares students for success beyond the classroom and is recognized by the world's leading colleges and universities. The IB courses offer a college-level curriculum with international-mindedness at the high school level. The IB Diploma Program is a two-year program that starts in the 11th grade, and IB exams are taken at the end of the senior year.

Beginning with the 2023-24 school year, the IB Program at Humble High School is now a 4-year Advanced Academic Academy. 8th grade students across the district can now apply to join our preDP program in 9th grade!

Students in the IB Academy will complete preDP coursework in the 9th and 10th grade before moving to the Diploma Program coursework in 1th and 12th grade.

International Baccalaureate Organization's Diploma Program

The International Baccalaureate Organization’s Diploma Program was created in 1968. It is a demanding pre-university course of study that leads to examinations and is recognized by elite universities around the world as an excellent preparatory curriculum. The IB Diploma Program is designed for highly motivated secondary school students and is currently found in over 1788 schools in more than 131 nations worldwide. The program is based on the pattern of no single country but incorporates the best elements of several. Over the last several years, The IB Diploma Program has become the program of choice for High Schools in the United States seeking to offer a world class college preparatory curriculum. Unique Characteristics

In addition to the traditional strengths of a liberal arts curriculum, the IB Diploma Program offers special features to ensure that the student becomes a truly well rounded scholar. Special features of the program include: externally moderated course work and examinations in 6 academic disciplines; the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) seminar, the Extended Essay, and the Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS) requirements.
