We hope that you all had a restful Labor Day weekend and returned to TMS ready to learn!
There are several reminders to get us all off to a great start for our 8th grade year:

- ID Badges must be worn at all times.  If you have lost or misplaced your ID you will need to purchase a new one or a temporary badge.  Ms. Stafford's suggestion was to put your ID in your binder each night to make sure you remember where it is!

- ZAP will start during the week of September 17th.  The first two ZAPs will be held Thursday 9/20/12 at 8 am and Friday 9/21/12 at 4 pm to 6 pm.  Make sure all of your assignments are turned in to avoid getting ZAPPED!

- Agendas: Make sure you are writing your assignments, homework, quizzes, and tests in your agenda.  This will help you stay organized, off of the ZAP list, and get better grades!  I have already begun spot checking agendas - of the 5 I checked today, 4 had it filled out!  Way to go!

8th grade has completed the career cluster lesson in Bridges.com and they have all selected a career pathway!  Students may log in to their bridges accounts at home to review what they have selected with their parents and make any changes or updates to their pathway.  If your child changes the pathway, please remember to have them save the changes to their portfolio.  The selection of the pathway is important to assist in determining what courses and electives are the best choices for their four year high school course plan that we will begin building in November.

Back in January, I met with all of the 8th graders to go over all of the requirements for attending Field Day and the Maroon and White Ball.
I have attached them here for you, the parents, as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
