Community Leadership Academy

Curious about the operations and programs within Humble ISD?

The Humble ISD Community Leadership Academy is open to citizens that want to build their understanding of Humble ISD, including the processes and programs that operate within.

This program consists of four half-day sessions from October to March. The agendas for these sessions will include tours of campus and district facilities and opportunities to visit with school board members, administrators and staff. Each session will begin at 9:00 am and conclude by 1:30 pm.

Because we can only accommodate 40 people in this program per year, we invite applications from interested community members who are not currently Humble ISD employees. The deadline to apply is Monday, September 15th, 2025.

Session dates:

  • October 29

  • December 3

  • January 21

  • February 25

  • March 25

Objectives of this academy are:

  • Participants will learn about the Board of Trustees' role in making Humble ISD fiscally and academically exceptional.

  •  Participants will learn about district operations and the impact thereof on the education of students.

  •  Participants will learn about programs and curriculum that are chosen to support students academically.

  • How Humble ISD budgets and expends funds

  • Measures to keep students and staff safe
