Answers
1)  Q When can my classroom visit the science lab to see the chicken eggs?
A
The science lab is ALWAYS open for visitors! Come by anytime!
2)  Q What is JFE going to do with the chicks once they hatch?
A
JFE will keep the chicks for a week and then return them to the chicken farm they came from! Please stop by to see them before they are gone!!!
3)  Q Can baby chicks hatch from the eggs people buy at the grocery store?
A
Good question! No. The eggs that are sold at the grocery store are not fertilized. Unfertilized eggs will never hatch no matter how warm you keep them!!
4)  Q Why are the eggs in our incubator brown?
A
Different species of birds lay eggs that are different in size, color, and even texture! We have Australorp Chicken eggs... Australorp eggs are light brown in color.

7- 10 days. While it's in the chrysalis, the caterpillar actually becomes completely liquified reforming itself into a butterfly!!!!!!!!

A
Painted Lady Butterflies have a life span that lasts for about 2 weeks!!!! Just long enough to lay new eggs and start the life cycle over.
