Free H1N1 vaccinations will be offered to Humble ISD students, employees and their families by the Harris County Public Health and Environmental Services department (HCPHES). The vaccinations will be offered on Saturday, November 21st, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
HCPHES will offer the vaccinations at the three Humble ISD high school campuses within its jurisdiction: Atascocita, Humble and Summer Creek. The clinics will be open to all Humble ISD students, employees and their families. This, of course, includes those who live in the Kingwood area. Vaccinations will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Four target groups are especially encouraged to get H1N1 vaccinations. These include: nurses, staff who work with preschool children and Community Learning Center employees, staff with compromised autoimmune issues (diabetes), and staff who are pregnant.
Additional vaccination clinics are expected to be offered in Humble ISD. Humble ISD will use its Your Schools Insider communications system to send out email and text message notifications when these clinics are set. Visit

, left column to log in and review your contact information or to set up an account. The contact information provided by parents and guardians who enrolled their children this year has been downloaded to the system.

Our goal is to collect 4,000 lbs of paper each month. There are two green and yellow Paper Retriever collection bins located in the student parking lot. We would like for you to support Teen Leadership and to help the environment by dropping off once a week your used newspapers, magazines, catalogs, phone books, and mail.
