Professional Growth Obtained from the
Professional Library
 
Humble ISD offers employee's opportunities to obtain professional growth hours off of their contracted time. Many workshops are offered during the year so that these hours may be obtained, but because of unforseen circumstances, you may not be able to attend a workshop you may have signed up for.

To help with this, the district allows employee's to obtain their required hours by viewing district approved videos that are housed in the professional library. These videos have been placed in the library by directors, coordinators, facilitators and other administrators to help you meet professional growth hours.

Please note the professional development policy:
 " The supervisor has ultimate discretion for approving hours.  You should always seek prior approval from your supervisor before participating in an activity to ensure that you will receive credit.  The supervisor will review whether the activity is relevant to your job."  
 

Please note the following guidelines must be followed:

1) PRIOR approval must be obtained from your immediate supervisor
2) All videos MUST be viewed on CAMPUS, OFF contract time. You may not take the material home to view and receive hours. Any abuse of this will cause materials being pulled as a viable options for obtaining comp hours.
3) The signature sheet must be completed and signed off by your supervisor AFTER you have viewed the videos.
