Attention all students: Would you like the chance to win $50.00?! Beginning on Monday May 6, HOSA will be hosting HOSA week in order to raise awareness to certain diseases and finding cures for them. In order to participate in HOSA week please wear a colored shirt to correspond with a disease:

Monday- gray for asthma

Tuesday- yellow for osteosarcoma

Wednesday- purple for acid reflux

Thursday- red for heart disease

Friday- orange for Multiple Sclerosis

For every day you participate you may enter a raffle for a $50.00 VISA gift card. Just place your name into their raffle at all lunches beginning on Monday. Please help out HOSA and raise awareness for the cures to these diseases."

Any balance that is in your cafeteria account at the end of this year will stay with you for next year. That money will be available for the student on the first day of school. However, if you will no longer be enrolled in a Humble ISD school or you would like your money refunded, please contact your current cafeteria manager.

Students, if you are interested in becoming a student athletic trainer for next school year please come by the training room (room 1433) and get an application. Applications are due today, and any student without an application turned in will not be considered for the program. Turning in an application also does not guarantee admission into the program. 

Seniors, we are having auditions for students who would like to sing an inspirational song at Graduation this year. Auditions will be held today  after school in the Gold LGI. You can sign up for time slots during all lunches.

Eagle golfer, LOGAN DAVIS, qualifies for the STATE tournament to be played April 29th-30th in Austin. Logan is the FIRST eagle golfer to qualify for state. The TEAM shot a one day SCHOOL record on day two of the regional tournament. Team members included are Logan Davis, Andy Olsen, Ryan Smith, Austin Olsen, and Tyler Getz.

 There are 32 FFA chapters in our "district" of competition so we are very proud of their accomplishments!  If you know any of these students please be sure to congratulate them.  With this and the 4th place in state finish in the "Chapter Challenge" we think our FFA members are headed for bright futures! :)

Attention seniors! Fun packs are in and may be picked up in room 2520 after school. Your prom ticket can be picked up in the cafeteria during lunches.

HOSA is collecting toiletry items to donate to HAAM. Items include travel size: deodarant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, mouthwash, bar soap, and clothes soap. Items can be dropped off in the designated boxes at each of the house secretaries. 

Students, if you are interested in becoming a student athletic trainer for next school year please come by the training room (room 1433) and get an application. Applications will be do by April 19th and any student without an application turned in will not be considered for the program. Turning in an application also does not guarantee admission into the program. 

Students interested in being a class officer next year must have all packet material turned in to room 2604 by 3 PM today.

Seniors, we are having auditions for students who would like to sing an inspirational song at Graduation this year. Auditions will be held on Friday, April 19th after school in the Gold LGI. You can sign up for time slots during all lunches.

A quick update on our Varsity Gymnasts. Our Boys Varsity Gymnastics Team placed 5th at Regionals led by 2 freshmen, Chay Moncivais and Kyle Weesner while our Girls set a new school record score and placed 4th. Although only the top 3 teams advance from Regionals to State as a team, for the first time in our school history, AHS will be represented by 3 girls at the State Championships. Congratulations go to sophomore Sydney Weesner and freshman Tori Ulshafer who both qualified for State in the All-Around competition and freshman Mackenzie Weaver who qualified in the Beam event. Former female Gymnasts from AHS who qualified for this meet in the past were Jessica Bills in her senior year and Michele Powell her sophomore and junior year. Not only do we have 3 girls this year, but two of them are freshman. With a large percentage of this year's Boys and Girls team being underclassmen, the future of Varsity Gymnastics here at Atascocita looks brighter than ever. Thanks for your continued support and good luck to Sydney, Tori and Mackenzie as they travel to Rockwall next week for the 2013 Texas State Championships!

Seniors, if you sell, gift, or otherwise transfer your prom ticket to someone else, you MUST tell the class officers. Anyone who shows up to prom with a ticket that is not registered to them will not be allowed to enter. Please email us, tell us on Facebook, or come tell us during lunch so that we can transfer the ticket number from your name to the new person. Today is your last day to purchase prom tickets They will NOT be sold at the door.
