International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) Students who are invited to participate will benefit from a sophisticated and challenging academic experience as well as opportunities to earn college credit and scholarships. Career and Technical Education (The CATE Center) The curriculum design of the CATE center provides opportunities for students to receive entry-level skills and certifications in Information Technology, Health Sciences Technology, and Pre-Engineering.Please visit the CATE Center website for more information.
Early College and Dual Credit In partnership with Lone Star College – Kingwood, students have the opportunity to earn high school and college credits through our Dual Credit program. Students who wish to go beyond dual credit may participate in a more rigorous Early College program.
Filing periods for 2013-2014 year:
Secondary Filing Period: January 22-February 8. Decisions will be emailed February 22.

GENERAL TRANSFER PROCESS
Due to growth in district enrollment and financial limitations at all district-wide campuses, general transfers are approved according to the following considerations:
Students identified because of a programmatic need
Students who have a sibling already in attendance at a particular school
Students who have moved outside the school attendance zone who wish to complete senior year at current campus
Students who have a parent employed full-time at Humble ISD
Student has moved and wishes to finish semester on current campus
Urgent or highly extenuating circumstances Note: Category #6 Transfer Applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Applications that do not have a letter stating reason(s) for transfer will not be processed.
High school transfers related to the Humble ISD Spanish Immersion Program will be granted upon request.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT:
Parents must assume responsibility for transportation of General Transfer students. Bus service is not provided.
Transportation varies according to Schools of Choice Program.
Transfer students may remain at the campus until they reach the highest grade level for that campus. Please note: The middle school you attend is based on your address – not which elementary you attend. Likewise, the high school you will attend is not based on which middle school you attend but on your address. To attend any school other than your “attendance zoned” school, a transfer application must be submitted for approval.
Applications for urgent or highly extenuating circumstances should include all pertinent information about the student(s) or family situation. Doctor’s statements should be included when applicable.
Schools of Choice Program and General Transfers will not be accepted mid-year except for urgent or highly extenuating circumstances.
Students would not be eligible for varsity U.I.L. athletic events on the receiving campus for one calendar year. (for high school students only)
The transfer student must follow all rules and regulations of the District, including those for student conduct and attendance. Violation of the District’s rules and regulations may result in revocation of the transfer agreement.
It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to notify the campus of any address changes.
Any falsification of information is a Class A Misdemeanor and can lead to legal action.
PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW AFTER A REQUEST HAS BEEN APPROVED
Campuses involved in the transfer process will be notified by the Transfer Office. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) and student(s) should follow the orientation, camps, pre-enrollment process for the campus the student(s) will attend the next school year.
The student(s) will be placed in the appropriate level, class, course, and/or special programs using records from the sending campus as basis for placement.Transfer students may remain at their campus until they reach the highest grade level for that campus.
