Please mark your calendars any try not to schedule any appointments on STAAR Days. We can NOT have ANY visitors on campus on those days so please make other arrangements for birthday celebrations and lunch visits. March 28-29, May 8-10
Kindergarten Round Up
Kindergarten Round Up will be held on April 3 at 9:30. Early registration appointments for Kindergarten will be available after round up. New and returning students will complete registration and updates in August.
Spring Pictures April 6
Get those spring outfits and your beautiful smile ready for spring pictures! Forms to choose your pose and background go home March 28. No need to pre-order, proofs will be sent home and you can purchase what you like at that time.
Groves Elementary Kindergarten Round Up April 6 and 11
Dr. Peters will be hosting two Kindergarten Round-Ups for students wil will be entering kindergarten at Groves Elementary for the 2017-18 school year. The sessions will be April 6 from 9-10am and April 11 from 4-5pm at ESE. You may attend either session. Please see their website for more information.
PTO General Meeting
The spring PTO General Meeting will be held on April 12 at 6:30. Teachers will be on hand to discuss different clubs offered at ESE and they will be voting on board positions for the 2017-18 school year. If you have any questions or are interested in joing the board please plan to attend.
Hoppin for Homeless April 3-13
Our Girl Scouts are once again collecting travel sized toiletries for their Hoppin for Homeless service project to earn their Bronze and Silver Awards. The grade level that collects the most items will win a cool treat.
Look What I Printed!
Help Mrs. Davis get a 3D printer for our students in the Computer Lab! With a 3D printer students will be able to come up with their own ideas and then see their ideas transformed into plastic visuals. How cool is that?! We Need Your Greens!
Mrs. Pierce is teaching the students all about composting but she needs your help. If you have any left over fresh fruit, vegetables, skins, banana peels, coffee grinds or egg shells please save them and put them in a zip-lock bag to send to Mrs. Pierce between March 6 and March 10. Students will see first hand how their greens trun into great soil for our gardens!
Humble ISD names new school Groves Elementary
Humble ISD’s newest elementary school has been officially named Groves Elementary. The Humble ISD Board of Trustees selected the name at the School Board Meeting on March 21. Parents who would like their child to attend Groves Elementary School are encouraged to submit a transfer request by Friday, March 31.
