In July of 2016, 21 students from high schools throughout Humble ISD participated in Camp G.I.V.E. (Generously Investing and Volunteering to Empower). The two-week day camp guided students interested in philanthropy through unique experiences to develop service-learning leadership skills.
Students awarded $2,000 worth of grants to four local philanthropic organizations making positive changes both locally and globally. Camp G.I.V.E. is a program funded by a H-E-B Excellence in Education grant. Camp G.I.V.E. hopes to give more students the opportunity to be world changers.
