Safety First at ASE

We know you believe as strongly as we do that safety for your child and every student here at ASE is critical. As you have probably noticed, we have made adjustments to our car rider arrival and dismissal procedures due to safety concerns witnessed by staff, parents, and community members. We had our District Safety Coordinator and Humble ISD Police help create our plan with the safety of our children in mind. The biggest change is that there is NO LEFT TURN in or out of our car rider drop off in the morning or the afternoon. The cones are placed to help with the flow of traffic in one direction. Making uturns, zig-zagging, and parking in the lane on the school side of the street angers other parents who are following the procedures in place. There have been several altercations between parents which none of us want to see happen. Please keep in mind that dropping your child off between 7:30 AM and 7:45 AM will be much quicker than waiting beyond that time. We all want the same thing for our students—a safe, happy, and productive learning environment!!!!
