Address Affidavits & Guardianship

Atascocita High School will begin processing Address Affidavits and Guardianship paperwork on the following dates; 

  • Thursday, August 1st, from 9 am to 2 pm, and late registration from 4 pm to 7 pm. 

  • Any documentation received after the August 1st deadline will be processed on August 12th, delaying the student's enrollment for the first day of school, which begins on August 7, 2024. 

Verification of address affidavit

Verification of Address Affidavit Requirements:

  1. Parents and homeowner/resident must have a current driver’s license with an address matching the residence of the address affidavit in order to provide proof of residency.

  2. The address affidavit form must be notarized. Campuses will not notarize the form for the parent.

  3. The parent, homeowner/resident, and student must meet together in person with a campus administrator to review documentation.

  4. At the meeting, the homeowner/resident must provide the following:

    • A current driver’s license with an address matching the residence address of the address affidavit. If the homeowner/resident does not have a valid Driver’s License that matches the address on the proof of residence documentation, the process will not move forward.

    • Proof of residency in the form of a current lease agreement or current electricity, water, or gas bill, dated within 30 days of the meeting.

    • If presenting a lease agreement, the parent must be listed as an occupant on the lease agreement. Verification with the landlord may be required.

  5. At the meeting, the following will be reviewed:

    • Humble ISD will conduct home visits, bed checks, and property owner investigations, among other steps, to verify that the student resides at the address listed on the address affidavit.

    • If Humble ISD is unable to verify residency, both the homeowner/resident and the parent may be subject to criminal charges. The student will be subject to immediate withdrawal.

Guardianship Documentation

Please be aware that if you are NOT the student's legal guardian, you will be asked to fill out Guardianship paperwork that must be filed at the downtown Houston courthouse. Parents must schedule an appointment with the campus registrar to process their Address Affidavit or Guardianship request for the 2024-2025 school year. Address Affidavits and Guardianship paperwork can be obtained from the campus only; they are not available online.

EAGLE LIFT-OFF: WALK THE SCHEDULE

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 9 am - 12 pm, AHS will host Eagle Lift Off.  Families can come and go anytime during this window.  This will be an opportunity for students to:

Walk and find their classroom locations prior to the first day of school. Access your student’s schedule in HAC after 5pm on Friday, August 2nd.  Students can bring a printout of their schedule or access it on their device.  

Pick up their 24-25 school ID badges in the cafeteria. Students who are NEW to Humble ISD will be able to take their photo on this day.

Pick up their parking pass at the Blue House 3 office. Additional information will be shared via AHS Connect about what is needed to obtain your parking pass.

Visit with and sign up for clubs and organizations.

Latte with Leadership

On Monday, August 5, parents can join Mr. Falker in the library from 3 - 4 pm to hear about updates for the new school year.

OPEN HOUSE

On August 26, 2024, from 6 pm - 8 pm, AHS will host Open House.  During this time families are welcome to meet their student’s teachers and learn how to get your student connected to Eagle Life.  Note that if you need to discuss your student’s progress in a course, please make a separate appointment with your student’s teachers.

Registration for Fish Camp is closed.
