Welcome to the upcoming 2024-25 school year!  I am very excited to be a part of the Bear Family and serve the neighborhood school in which I reside…truly immersing myself in the community! For the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of serving Humble ISD students and families in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, GT teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. 

My husband, Glenn, and I have been married for 31 years and have two beautiful children (really young adults) who both went through the Humble ISD system and graduated from KHS.  Alex recently graduated from SMU and is currently attending med school.  Brant will be a senior at NYU studying acting and film. We are happy and proud that they are both chasing their dreams.

As I look forward to next school year, I am excited to get to know the students, families, and staff at BBE.  Relationships will be my focus as I truly believe it is the foundation on which we build everything. I am excited to partner with all stakeholders as we support our Bears in a student-centered, collaborative, nurturing, and fun learning environment that is growth oriented and personalized.

I am thrilled to be joining Bear Branch Elementary as your Assistant Principal. I have 15 years of experience in Elementary Education, most recently having served as the Literacy Instructional Coach at Pine Forest Elementary. Prior to that, I taught at Oaks Elementary here in Humble ISD. I began my career in Education at New Caney Elementary and then Oakley Elementary in New Caney ISD. I have taught PreK, 1st Grade and 3rd Grade. I am a hands-on, involved educator who is eager to get to know students and their families quickly! I believe that students learn better in an environment where they feel loved and safe. I have two daughters who will be joining me as bears at BBE. One will be in 4th Grade and the other is in 1st Grade!

I value being present in classrooms to support high quality instruction, advocating for our students often and bringing as much fun and excitement to daily life here at BBE as I can!
