Keep Foster Students in Kingwood

Utilize current Humble ISD Kingwood elementary schools and Kingwood Middle School (5th Grade)

With Option 1, Foster Elementary students and staff would remain in Kingwood for two school years. Different grade levels would be housed on different Kingwood campuses. There is not enough space for the entire Foster student body to attend the same school in Kingwood - but there is enough space for individual grade levels to attend a school in Kingwood.

Humble ISD would provide bus transportation to each of the schools in Kingwood.

Pre-K through 4th Grade Classes

With Option 1, pre-kindergarten through fourth grade classes would attend school at these campuses:

Deerwood Elementary
Elm Grove Elementary
Hidden Hollow Elementary
Greentree Elementary
Shadow Forest Elementary
Willow Creek Elementary

It has not yet been determined which grade level would be on each campus. Those decisions would be made later, based on enrollments and space.

5th Grade Classes

With Option 1, fifth grade classes would attend Kingwood Middle School.

Important Notes:

  • Students from Foster Elementary would be taught by a Foster Elementary School teacher.

  • Students from Foster Elementary would be placed in classrooms with other students who reside in the Foster Elementary school attendance zone.

  • Families from Foster Elementary with multiple children in different grade levels, who want their children to attend the same campus, can submit a transfer request. Transfers are approved on a space-available basis and parents are responsible for providing transportation.
