DAEP
Disciplinary Alternative Education Program
Our Mission
A disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) established in conformance with the Texas Education Code (TEC), ยง37.008, and this section is defined as an educational and self-discipline alternative instructional program, adopted by local policy, for students in elementary through high school grades who are removed from their regular classes for mandatory or discretionary disciplinary reasons and placed in a DAEP. The mission of the Humble ISD DAEP is to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment that supports our students in the development of the attitudes, responsibilities, knowledge, and skills that are essential for success in school and society.
"Orientation" consists of student registration and an informational session for Humble ISD students who have been assigned to our discipline program. Orientation group sessions occur twice a week throughout the school year, and a student who has been assigned to DAEP is given a specific orientation date that they and their legal guardian are to attend in order to enroll into our campus.
