Mission

Humble High School, in partnership with all stakeholders, aims to develop open minded, reflective thinkers who experience a broad and balanced choice of advanced academics through rigorous coursework aimed at creating knowledgeable and caring citizens in an ever-changing global society.

Humble High School enrolls students in grades 9-12 who follow minimum, recommended, or distinguished achievement programs as outlined by the Texas Education Agency in order to satisfy graduation requirements. Humble High School is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. Humble High School is also the designated International Baccalaureate School in Humble ISD. Students from all over the district who are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program attend classes at HHS.  HHS, which opened originally as Charles Bender High School in 1929, became Humble High School in its present location on Wilson Rd. in 1965. The building, one of the district's two flagship high schools, completed extensive renovations in 2009 that have reorganized the school into smaller learning communities or houses to personalize student learning.

Curriculum
Humble High School offers level, honors, advanced placement and gifted and talented classes. A strong academic program is complemented by an extensive vocational/technical curriculum along with a wide array of classes in music, art, theatre, speech, and athletics. The guidance counselors manage a comprehensive program to assist students in acquiring skills in the social, personal, educational and career areas necessary for living in a multi-cultural society.

Class Rank
Rank is determined by adding all grade points earned in grades 9 through the third nine weeks of the senior year. Transfer students receive credit for honors courses taken elsewhere if Humble ISD offers that course as honors. Honors, advanced placement, and gifted/talented classes carry one grade point higher on the grading scale than level courses.
