Greentree Elementary School opened on August 31, 1981 for the 1981-1982 school year.  

The school serves students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. 

The school colors are Green and White.  The school mascot is the Gators.

The school is located at 3502 Brookshadow Drive, in Kingwood.
