Summerwood Elementary School opened on August 16, 2004, for the 2004-2005 school-year.  

The school serves students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. 

The school colors are Royal Blue and Gold.  The school mascot is the Stars.

The school is located at 1400 Summerwood Lakes Drive, in Houston.
