Human Trafficking Lessons
Humble ISD counselors collaborated to develop lessons compliant with state requirements and tailored to students' needs. Following guidance from the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), students in grades 7 and 9 will receive instruction on approved lessons pertaining to human trafficking. Written consent from parents/guardians is required before providing instruction, as per SB 9.
Prior to students receiving instruction on human trafficking, Humble ISD is mandated by SB 9 to secure written consent from the student's parent/guardian at least 14 days before instruction will begin. The SB 9 Consent Forms will be provided by the students assigned campus. In the absence of written consent from a parent/guardian, students will be excluded from instruction concerning human trafficking.
For any questions or concerns about your child's participation after reviewing the curriculum below, please contact your students campus counselor.
