Humble ISD is located in Northeast Houston and is home to 10 middle school campuses across Humble, Kingwood, Atasocita, Summerwood and Fall Creek . An 11th middle school, Lake Houston Middle School, is set to open August 2025.
AVID Program
AVID is a global, non-profit college and career readiness system that equips teachers and schools to partner with students in becoming college and career ready. The AVID College Readiness System empowers students to take control of their educational destiny, closes the opportunity gap through access and support, trains educators in research-based methods of effective instruction, and serves as a catalyst for systemic reform and change.
The AVID Elective is a year-long course providing academic and executive function skills in order to assist students in navigating the complexities of advanced coursework and post-secondary preparedness by accelerating academic success.
CTE 6th Grade Wheel
Humble ISD provides opportunities to enhance learning for sixth grade students through a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Middle School Exploration Wheel.
The goal is to provide students across the district with hands-on opportunities to discover their personal strengths while exploring multiple educational paths before reaching high school.
Middle School Outdoor Obstacle/Fitness Courses
Humble Middle School is the first Humble ISD campus to debut an updated obstacle course and fitness area during the 2024-2025 school year. This is the third new outdoor obstacle course and fitness area completed in Humble ISD. Creekwood Middle School was the first campus to open an outdoor obstacle course and fitness area.
Other middle and high schools in Humble ISD will receive these enhancements by 2027 as part of Bond 2022.
