It’s free for all students.

Speaking of food, we are still on a 3-lunch schedule this week. Wednesday and Thursday are block days and the schedule is a little different.  Be sure and look at the lunch schedule for this week.  We have it posted on the KHS Website and social media.  Lunch on Thursday will be during 4th period, so discuss with your teachers which lunch you will have before Thursday.

If you didn’t pick up your yearbook last year, go to room 4406 to get your book. After Friday August 30th, all unclaimed yearbooks will be sold to buyers on the waiting list.

The district has approved the towing of cars from the band marching lot this year, so move your car immediately after school.  If your car is blocking the 300 member marching band, it will be towed and you will pay the towing and impound fees and lose your parking spot.

All students should be wearing a current ID badge around your neck today.  Infractions begin today.  Wear your ID.

If you need a statement of your shot records, see the QR code on the KHS website.

School pictures are happening next week beginning August 19th.

National Technical Honor Society has a meeting August 21st in A-block of Mustang Hour in LGI 2310.

Seniors!  Get your senior packet! There are shirts in there for senior events for the year! Don’t miss out! The link closes on Friday so we can get the orders in so make sure to buy your packet. Let’s go class of 2025!

That’s it for today.  Have a great week.

Thursday, August 8, 2024

Good morning Mustangs!  This is Nathan Pierce and Addison Maher with the morning announcements.

We call the Cafeteria area The Commons.  Student IDs will be given out in the Commons during lunches today and Friday in the flex area behind the main gym.  You can also pick up IDs before or after school in your House Office. All students should be wearing a current ID badge no later than Monday, August 12.

The gym entrance is called the Sports Commons.  The Sports Commons doors are closed each morning at the 7:25 bell.  After that, everyone must enter through the main front doors.

Anyone checking out or leaving during the school day must exit at the main front door.

Did you know that all Humble ISD schools now offer free breakfast to all students?  Stop by the Commons in the morning and start your day off with a good breakfast.  And don’t forget to check out the Mustang Café in the library before school and at lunch.

Food deliveries are not allowed on campus.  Your door dash or other food delivery will be turned away and you will lose your money.

We are on a 3-lunch schedule into next week.  The schedule is posted on the website.  The only places students are allowed to be during lunch is in the Commons and the 1000 hallway…that’s the main hallway in the front of school.  More areas will be open when Mustang Hour begins.

If ride the bus, you need to quickly exit the building at the end of the day.  You have about six minutes to get to your bus.  The busses all pull out at the same time and cannot stop for late students.

If your parking spot is on the band practice field, you must move your vehicle immediately after school.  If you prevent the marching band from practicing you will lose your spot and your car could be towed away at your expense.

All students must have their ID no later than Friday at lunch. Monday will begin infractions.

If you need a record of your immunizations, see the QR code on the KHS website.

Good luck to Mustang tennis today, they take on Clear Falls at home this afternoon.

This is Nathan and Addison and we’re out.  Have a great day!

Wednesday, August 7, 2024

Good morning Mustangs!  This is Nathan Pierce, your Student Body President and I’m joined by our Student Body Vice President Addison Maher and we’ll be bringing you the morning announcements each day.

Good morning!  Again, I’m Nathan Pierce.   And I’m Addison Maher.

For those new to Kingwood High School, we call the Cafeteria area The Commons.  Student IDs will be given out in the Commons during lunches on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students may also pick up IDs before or after school in their House Offices beginning Thursday. All students should be wearing a current ID badge no later than Monday, August 12.

We call the gymnasium entrance, The Sports Commons.  Remember, school starts each day at 7:25 a.m.  The Sports Commons entrance is closed each morning at the 7:25 bell.  After that, everyone must enter through the main front doors.  Traffic will always be an issue, so plan on leaving early enough to arrive on time.  Anyone checking out or leaving for any reason during the day must exit at the main front door.  Early release students must also leave at the front door only.

Did you know that all Humble ISD schools now offer free breakfast to all students?  Stop by the Commons in the morning and start your day off with a good breakfast.  Some things aren’t included but our awesome cafeteria staff will let you know.  Again, free breakfast for all students…everyday!

Please take note that food deliveries are not allowed on campus.  They will be turned away and you will lose your money.  No food deliveries on campus.

We are on a 3-lunch schedule into next week.  You’ll find out in your 4th period class which lunch you have or check the KHS social media.  If you have A-lunch, go directly to lunch.  You will check into 5th period at the end of A-lunch.

If you are a bus rider, you need to quickly exit the building at the end of the day.  The busses all pull out at the same time and cannot stop for late students.

If you have been assigned a parking spot on the band practice field, you must move your vehicle immediately after school.  Cars that remain on the band parking lot prevent the marching band from practicing and are subject to being towed at your expense.  Again, if you park on the band marching practice area, you must move your vehicle immediately after school or you could lose your parking spot.

Good luck to all of our extra-curricular activities already practicing and competing.  Tennis has already begun competition and has meets tomorrow and Friday at home.

Again, this has been Nathan and Addison with your morning announcements.  Welcome back, Mustangs.  Have a great week!
