Mr. Wootton has completed his 25th year of teaching band in the Humble ISD family and is enjoying his 18th year at Timberwood Middle School.  He graduated from Angelo State University with a degree in Music Education and is an active trumpet player for the Kingwood Pops Orchestra and the Houston area. He has two children, aged 21 and 17, who are both musicians as well!  His wife is also a 25-year veteran teacher of RELA and has now moved into a Counselor position at a neighboring middle school.

Mr. Corkill graduated High School in Kountze Texas and college from McNeese State University. He made the Texas All-State band 3 years in High School and loves playing percussion! This is his 8th year teaching and is learning more and more each year. He can’t wait to give your students not only some valuable musical skills but also some skills they can take with them on their journey through life beyond the classroom. He enjoys playing guitar, keyboard, video games, working out and spending time with his Lab/Pit Mix Boogie. 

It is our goal to provide not only a quality music education, but also a sense of good citizenship inside and outside the classroom. We will always strive to keep Band engaging and fun but it is also important for us to hold students to a high level of achievement and challenge their work ethic daily.
