Dear Timberwood Middle School Families,

You may be aware of rumors circulating this week regarding a threat of violence at our school. I want to assure you that these are just rumors. School authorities and police investigated. There is no evidence of a credible threat.

The rumors traced back to a student who was spreading the rumors via text message and by talking to other students. On Tuesday, the student was identified, interviewed and removed from the campus. The student remains off campus.

Every comment, concern, or post brought to our attention has been investigated. Humble ISD Police will increase patrol in an abundance of caution.

While this situation was not an actual threat, it is essential that all concerns are reported. Please continue to encourage your children to report any concerns to our school staff, Humble ISD Police (281-641-7900) or through the Humble ISD iHelp app. By working in partnership, we keep our school safe and students focused on learning.
