This 2023-2024 school year, Humble ISD is excited to offer a competitive middle school dance team on all campuses. This program will offer students an opportunity to participate and perform in a competitive and collaborative setting. The teams will be active in the school community as well as participate in some local competitions.
We are a performing company with a repertoire of various aspects of dance. The team performs at school & non-school functions approved by the Director and the administration. It is an honor to be a member of the dance team. A dance team member is continuously before the eyes of the public and student body. They represent not only the dance team but also the entire student body of the school. Therefore, their conduct, morals, appearance, grades and attitude must be above reproach at all times—in and out of the dance team.
WMS students interested in becoming a member of the WMS Lionettes Dance Team must complete the audition process and be selected by a panel of judges scheduled by the director each year. It is common that auditions are held at the end of each year between March and April for the upcoming school year.
The Lionettes Dance Team is separate from the regular dance classes offered at WMS.
