Dr. Roger Brown became Humble ISD Superintendent on January 8, 2025, after serving the district for 10 years. He previously served as Interim Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and Associate Superintendent of Operations.

Beginning as a high school history teacher, Dr. Brown was an educator in Oklahoma before moving to Humble ISD. Dr. Brown is a proud University of Oklahoma graduate. He and his wife Lonia have been married 43 years and have three adult children and seven grandchildren. Four of his grandchildren are Humble ISD students. 

Dr. Brown earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree at the University of Oklahoma and his doctor of educational leadership at Nova Southeastern University. His awards include Teacher of the Year for Moore Central Mid-High, Highland East Junior High Administrator of the Year, PTA Putnam City Administrator of the Year, and State PTA School Administrator of the Year in Oklahoma.

Dr. Brown is President of Lake Houston Area Rotary and on the Northeast Hospital Authority Board. Dr. Brown enjoys running. He has completed more than 100 marathons!
