Humble ISD is reducing occupancy at graduation to 25 percent to strengthen physical distancing at graduations. The number of tickets to be issued to each graduate will be:
- KHS - 4 tickets (KHS Graduation is Monday, July 20.)
- KPHS – 6 tickets (KPHS Graduation is Tuesday, July 21.)
- SCHS – 5 tickets (SCHS Graduation is Wednesday, July 22.)
- HHS – 5 tickets (HHS Graduation is Thursday, July 23.)
- AHS – 4 tickets (AHS Graduation is Friday, July 24.)
- QECHS – 15 tickets (QECHS Graduation is Saturday, July 25. No reduction needed for QECHS due the class size.)
Graduations were planned for 50 percent stadium capacity but the number of COVID-19 cases in the Houston area at this time brought on the need to reduce the number of people in the stadium.
We understand this reduction is disappointing. The well being of all participants makes this change necessary. There is the option for unlimited guests via free livestream. TexanLive.com will stream all graduations..
Families will be asked to help make graduation a great celebration by sitting with the family members in their own household and by leaving space between their family and others. Reducing capacity to 25 percent will make it easier to leave more space.
Graduates do not need a ticket. The tickets are for family and friends. The tickets will be in each packet that graduates pick up from their schools. The district utilized participating graduate numbers from each school’s Class of 2020 to determine the number of tickets to be distributed.
Humble ISD is a family and we appreciate your patience and support as we work to make this special event possible. It is going to take all of us working together to keep our friends, family, and community safe and still celebrate our graduates.
