IMMUNIZATIONS FOR STUDENTS AT SCHOOL
In order to facilitate the immunization process, Texas Vaccine Institute is going to host an Immunization Clinic at Woodcreek Middle School, located at 14600 Woodson Park Drive, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 15. Enter through the front of the school and staff will direct you. The clinic is open to any Humble ISD student in need of immunizations.
According to your child’s age and vaccine record, your child will need the following vaccines:
• Polio • DTaP • Hepatitis B • Hib • PCV7/PCV13 • Meningitis (MCV4) • MMR • Varicella • Hepatitis A • HPV • Tdap Booster • Influenza
Meningitis (MCV4) is mandatory for seventh graders, and college students. Seventh graders also require the Tdap and the Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccine.
The cost of the immunizations for children (18 years old or younger) is $15.00 for 1 vaccine, $25.00 for 2 vaccines and $30.00 for 3 or more vaccines.
The Texas Vaccine Institue accepts some private insurances; however, they do not accept Medicaid or Chips.
Parents who wish to protect their children must bring the payment in cash, credit/debit card, or check (payable to Texas Vaccine Institute).
