Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Selene Greff – Lakeshore Elementary, Registrar/Attendance Specialist
Those who nominated her said, "Selene is the Attendance Specialist for Lakeshore Elementary. Selene has done a fabulous job keeping all of our Face to Face and online students straight throughout our 'Year of Covid' She never complains and is a silent warrior in making sure records, students, attendance, and staff stay on track and are accounted for. She goes the extra mile and with a smile on her face. She is a blessing to LSE."
Kevin Jack – Ross Sterling Middle School, Coach/P.E. Teacher
Those who nominated him said, "Coach Jack has been doing an amazing job with the boys in P.E. classes and our football team. His 7th grade team is currently undefeated and this is largely due to his energy and passion to see his athletes succeed. He arrives before 7am and leaves in the late evening after everyone is gone. Coach Jack is the epitome of a "Coaches Coach"! He has deep compassion for the kids and uses every interaction with them as a "teachable moment". He does this while also managing being a husband and father of 3 toddlers! We are glad to have him on our team."
Maria Mendez – Administration Building Head Custodian
Those who nominated her said, "Mrs. Maria Mendez is the head custodian for the administration building and has been with Humble ISD for over 10 years. She is an extraordinary employee who goes above and beyond to meet the needs of all the building staff and is very flexible with last minute changes. Maria is a perfectionist and she pays close attention to detail. Maria is a very thoughtful and kind person, always greeting everyone with a smile. We appreciate Maria for always putting forth her best for others."
