Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Super Staffer for Elementary – Kelle Banda, Oaks Elementary Extended Learning Teacher
Those who nominated her said, "In her first year in this position, she has made a wonderful impact on the campus! She always builds great relationships with her students in the classroom, but now as a member of the campus support team, she is so much more! She mentors students, supports teachers, has great ideas and can even give constructive, useful advice with a smile!"
Super Staffer for Secondary- Chief Terri Lee, Kingwood High School NJROTC
Those who nominated her said, "Chief Lee has shown day in and day out that she is committed to the principles and mission of Kingwood HS and to the US Armed Forces. She cultivates the love for country in our students and builds meaningful relationships that allow them to move closer to becoming the best version of themselves. She is often seen running and training with her JROTC students, taking pride in them as individuals while setting a high standard for excellence. She has taught the students to meet every challenge with a can-do attitude and rejoices with them when they reach their goals. It is impressive to see her leadership talent, drive and ambition. Chief Lee is, quite simply, a remarkable educator."
Super Staffer for Support- John Elasko, Maintenance HVAC Temp Technician
Those who nominated him said, "John Elasko is our Maintenance nominee for super-staffer due to his excellent service to Humble ISD. John has worked for the District for 18 years and is the District Boiler Operator ever since, a position that people don’t think about it until it isn’t working. But thanks to John that doesn’t happen very often. In fact, during the February 2021 freeze, John demonstrated his ever consistent work ethic by giving it his all to help minimize the damage from the busted pipes. John is a great part of our Humble ISD Team!"
