Students enrolled in 7th grade PreAP Math, will be taking the 8th grade Math STAAR in May 2022.
The 7th grade PreAP Math curriculum has been adjusted over the past few years to include a portion of the 7th grade standards and all of the 8th grade standards. TEA advises districts to evaluate course content to determine the appropriate STAAR test for accelerated math classes.
Therefore, 7th Grade PreAP Math classes will not take the 7th Grade STAAR but will take the 8th Grade STAAR in math.
Specific testing dates will be provided by the campus in early Spring 2022. Should you have any questions, please contact your child’s counselor.
