Super Staffers photos

Humble ISD’s Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on October 19. This month’s Super Staffer Awards is sponsored by Green Oak Dental. Pictured from left are Green Oak Dental representatives Christine Witowski and Dr. Mike Witkowski, Foster Elementary Interventionist Rebekah Clausey, Wood Creek Middle School Spanish Teacher Candida Muro, Child Nutrition Department Interim Manager Michelle Chambers, School Board President Martina Dixon and Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen.

Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:

Rebekah Clausey — Foster Elementary, RTI Interventionist
Those who nominated her said, "Rebekah Clausey is such an important part of our Foster Family. She works with some of our most challenging students to catch them up academically. She supports teachers by assisting them in finding the "just right" resources to help students in their classrooms. Last year, she even taught a virtual class of 1st graders. Whenever we ask her to do something she does it well and always with a smile. We are so lucky to have her as a Foster Bulldog."

Candida Muro — Wood Creek Middle School, Spanish Teacher
Those who nominated her said, "Mrs. Muro has been outstanding, not only in her classroom, but also in her hallway. She takes the time to not just plan creative and engaging lessons, but she also assists in rallying her hallway neighbors and leads the development of a campus environment among the other elective teachers that invites students to our building. She embodies our campus mission of consistently providing energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement to each student who we serve. We are fortunate to have this incredible educator on our campus."

Michelle Chambers — Child Nutrition Department
Those who nominated her said, "Michelle goes above and beyond her regular job responsibilities to ensure that the students of West lake Middle School received the best possible experience every day. The WLMS manager has been out on leave since August, but Michelle has stepped right into the role and has done an admirable job. To put into perspective the meal growth at WLMS, in Sept. 2019 (pre-Covid) we served around 1,118 meals per day which dropped to 798 in Sept. 2020. Today we are feeding 1,765 meals per day which is a 58% increase from 2019 and a 121% increase from 2020. Every day Michelle sets new sales records and every day new students are coming in to try all the new foods. To top this off, Michelle has been short up to 25% of her team at times this year and has still managed to exceed all expectations."
