Humble ISD has been picked to host the HOSA Area 6 Spring Leadership Conference. The conference will take place Feb. 25 to Feb. 26, 2022, at Summer Creek High School.
“Typically, between 1,200 to 1,300 students participate in the annual conference,” Sara Hansen, Atascocita High School Health Science Teacher, said.
HOSA is a program designed to help develop future leaders for the health care system. Participation gives students the opportunity to develop effective leadership qualities, enhance communication skills, develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, access student scholarship opportunities, and network with health care professionals.
Area six of Texas HOSA covers students in half of Harris County, plus 21 additional counties stretching to the Louisiana border.
