On Saturday, Feb. 12, Humble ISD Band, Choir, and Orchestra students representing Atascocita High School, Humble High School, Kingwood High School, and Summer Creek High School, performed as members of the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) All State Band, Choir, and Orchestra during the organization’s annual convention in San Antonio.
Being named a member of the TMEA All State Performing Ensembles is the highest individual honor a high school musician can achieve. Students are selected through a rigorous multi-level audition process that runs from September through January. Students designated as All-State musicians represent the top one percent of their instrument or voice in the State of Texas.
