Humble ISD celebrated its latest class of retiring employees during a retirement celebration on May 17 at the Humble Civic Center, that honored their years of service.

This year, the event returned as a banquet with the sounds of mariachi students from Humble High School, Humble Middle School, and Ross Sterling Middle School.

Humble ISD Board of Trustees President Martina Lemond Dixon also shared remarks about this year’s class of retirees and their service to Humble ISD.

“Each of you shared your time, ideas, and energy so that children, and their families, would have positive school experiences,” Dixon said.

Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen expressed her gratitude and commitment made by all the retirees and the service they provided to students, especially in the recent challenging times.

This year’s retiree class represents approximately 88 retirees with over 2,200 combined years of service in education.
