Centennial Elementary received the Texas Association of School Administrators and the Texas Association of School Boards’ Caudill Award for its design in telling the history of Humble ISD.
This is the highest honor presented at the annual Exhibit of School Architecture. The event showcases schools from across Texas with exceptional planning and design of learning spaces.
“Centennial Elementary is a wonderful, innovative school that celebrates the history of our community and brings together important aspects of learning, including the mental and physical health benefits of natural light, safety, and inspiring and motivating spaces that join the best of innovative workspaces,” Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen said. “Centennial thoughtfully showcases all of the important parts of education together in one facility.”
Located on Timber Forest Drive in the Lakewood Pines neighborhood, Centennial opened in 2020-2021. It was designed by Joiner Architects.
