The Humble ISD Public Communications Department won 14 awards - including two Best of State awards - and presented on campus branding during the 61st annual Texas School Public Relations Association Conference (TSPRA).

“It was an honor to showcase exciting things underway in Humble ISD to districts from across the state,” Humble ISD Chief Communications Officer Jamie Mount said. 

Humble ISD won the top award available in the Special Event category for the Dedication of Guy M. Sconzo Early College High School. The Office of Community Engagement, led by Jerri Monbaron, coordinated the dedication along with Public Communications staff. Humble ISD also won the top award available in an Advertisement category for a Pre-K advertisement.

  • Crystal Certificate of Merit for Photo Portfolio by Jonathan Frey

Gold Star Awards were won in the following categories:

  • Flyer for bond fact sheet

  • Image/Identity Package for Autumn Creek Elementary

  • Website for Autumn Ridge Middle School website 

  • Postcard for Remember to Vote postcard 

  • Print Materials in a Language Other than English for Folleto de Bonos 2022

  • Social Media Campaign for Principal Appreciation

  • Published Print Advertisement for Bond 2022

Silver Star Awards were won in the following categories:

  • Brochure for Bond 2022 

  • Postcard for Tax Exemptions postcard

  • Image/Identity Package for Lakeland Elementary 

  • Video Feature for the Mosaic Program

In addition to the awards, Humble ISD was chosen to present on campus branding. Rusty Odom led an initiative to update and standardize branding used by athletic teams across the district, including on uniforms and in facilities. Robin McAdams designed updated graphics. Lori Maugans, Yvonne Harris and Kelci Hebert presented “Lions & Tigers & Bears…Oh My Brand” about how Humble ISD organized digital files for 47 campuses.
