Humble ISD held its annual Staff Convocation on August 1-2 at Grace Church.
This year, students performed multiple musical pieces for the event, including hits like “Walking on Sunshine” and “Send it On” and closed out the event with a “Don’t Stop Believing” sing-along.
Choir and theater students from Atascocita, Humble, Kingwood, Kingwood Park and Summer Creek High School performed. Students included Amara Amadi, Kendall Barnes, Aidan Broomhead, Tobi Dobkins, Julian Dorr, Chris Echols, Victoria Fontenot, Kay Grider, Noah Guajardo, Emerson Harris, Tad Hart, Kinsey Hebisen, Ashton Landry, Luke Leath, Farrah Lugo, Rachel Murphy, Christyanna Nunn, Drake Olowu, Chelsea Rivers, Gracie Sharp, Ben Troxell, Stacia Watt and Blake Williamson.
During the event Dr. Fagen, Humble ISD Superintendent, presented the following staff members with an award for innovative teaching or projects. The award is a light up sign that says "Shine a Light and Send it On".
