Humble ISD's Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 14. This month's Super Staffer Awards are sponsored by Valo Trower of Headquarters Studio, a barber shop on First Street in Humble. Valo is a generous business owner in our community that gives free haircuts, provides school supplies to students and often assists families in need during the holidays.
Honored at the Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Melissa Ebarb - RELA Instructional Coach, Greentree Elementary School
Those who nominated her said, "Melissa is always willing to jump in and assist when needed. Recently, she helped our 5th grade team by taking over 3 RELA classes all at once. With efficiency and ease, she manages a team of interventionists to make sure that all 71 Reading assessments were completed and put in the Humble Portal by the deadline. We greatly appreciate her professionalism, her flexibility and her commitment to always doing what is best for students.”
Adelina Caballero - Math Teacher, Humble Middle School
Those who nominated her said, "Adelina, or Ms. C, as she is affectionately known, goes above and beyond to reach students where they are in her math class and she inspires them to be their best. She holds tutoring sessions daily in which her entire classroom is full of kids. Anyone who can get 20 sixth graders to stay after school to work on math has a pretty special gift! This year, Ms. C co-coordinated the Academic UIL competition for Humble Middle School which took place this past weekend. I am proud to report Humble Middle School placed 3rd out of all ten middle schools in Humble ISD!! Congratulations to Ms. C and HMS students for this great accomplishment!!”
William Lang - Director of Systems Integration, Technology Services
Those who nominated him said, "Will was integral in the partnership with multiple departments across the district to ensure data collection and analysis for Humble ISD's first TIA data submission was possible. Will coded a data warehouse from scratch to allow for in-depth analysis of many layers of data. He sacrificed countless hours of his personal time to ensure the data warehouse was built with fidelity while also meeting his deadline. Without ever complaining, but always focused on the end-goal of identifying and rewarding our best teachers, Will built a tool that met (and surpassed expectations) to fulfill an immediate need but that will also impact Humble ISD for years to come. We are honored to have William Lang on our Humble ISD team.”
