In partnership with Humble ISD and the non-profit organization Books Between Kids, the Humble/Kingwood Chapter of Jack and Jill of America will be launching a Storybook Super Readers Program to celebrate the chapter’s 35th anniversary.
Our local Jack and Jill of America chapter has a long history of supporting numerous initiatives in Humble ISD including school supply drives, literacy nights at elementary schools and offering mentorship to students.
Through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, 200 preschool students in Humble ISD will receive a book delivered right to their front door each month, setting the stage for a lifelong love of reading and establishing a home library of resources that will foster a passion for reading.
On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the chapter committed $20,000 to provide the funding for these 200 students to receive these books monthly for two years.
