Humble ISD's Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 9. This month's Super Staffer Awards are sponsored by Big Kahuna Fundraising

Honored at the April Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers:
Susan Rasmussen, Extended Learning Teacher - Willow Creek Elementary School
Those who nominated her said, "Susan joined WCE this year as our Extended Learning Teacher with 20 years experience covering Elementary, Middle, and High School. As a leader on our campus, she has been a bright light of energy inspiring others to challenge all students on campus. Her passion for working with special populations shows in everything she does. She is an inspiration to colleagues and students and we are so fortunate that she is part of the Willow Creek family.”
Mishka Douglas, AVID 2 Teacher - Guy M. Sconzo Early College High School
Those who nominated her said, "At Sconzo Early College High School, as in most schools, we all wear many different hats and take on responsibilities beyond the classroom. In addition to caring for her students and wanting to see them succeed, Mishka also supports her colleagues and is always willing to share her experiences and expertise to help others succeed. Her support spans from assisting with family activities each month to supporting new teachers who have never tested before. Her willingness to show up on a weekend to help with TSI testing, chaperone the winter dance, and work summer bridge camp are more examples of her continually going beyond her responsibilities in the classroom.”
Erika Junck, Division Secretary - Financial Services
Those who nominated her said, "In addition to her role as Property Tax Manager in the Tax Office, Erika took the lead on many safety initiatives at the BBTC. She is a member of the BBTC Safety Committee and has done an excellent job in executing the plans put in place to keep staff and visitors safe. Erika ensured repairs to the fire alarm and intercom systems were complete, recruited a dedicated group of safety volunteers and organized CPR and AED training for the group. We are very impressed by what she has accomplished in such a short period of time. Erika is a team player and always looking for ways to help out coworkers. She is a valuable member of the Finance team and much appreciated by all BBTC staff.”

Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a gift card, thanks to sponsor Amanda Wylie of Big Kahuna Fundraising.
