Humble ISD won 27 awards – including Best in State awards for published print ad, website, and education good news – from the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA).
The Humble ISD Careers website was created as a recruitment strategy in order to provide potential staff with a digital first impression of Humble ISD. The Careers website showcases why you would choose to work in Humble ISD. This website design was led by Yvonne Harris, Lori Maugans, Kelci Hebert and Sheila Collier.
The print advertisement, created by Jonathan Frey, appeared on the back cover of the Houston Newcomer Guide and was an effective marketing tool for families and potential teachers.
Finally, the Education Good News Campaign centered around the Eat, Play, Learn and Grow Outdoors in Humble ISD initiative and getting the community excited for new imaginatively themed playgrounds at elementary schools, and ninja-warrior themed obstacle courses at secondary schools. The campaign’s focus was to showcase their progress and to encourage families and students to make memories together outside. This campaign was led by Kelci Hebert with contributions from Jamie Mount, Joshua Koch, Jonathan Frey, Leslie Fuentes, Lori Maugans, Sheila Collier, Rusty Odom and Yvonne Harris.

Humble ISD’s Public Communications Office earned 26 additional awards, including one Crystal Certificate of Merit for a photo portfolio submitted by Jonathan Frey.
