The Creekwood Middle School Band is hosting a 44-year reunion concert at Kingwood Town Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 5.
Since 1981, there have been four directors of the CMS Band. Buck Bankston (1981-1991), John Nielsen (1991-2004), Paul Parkan (2004-2007) and Missy Allen (2007-Present) have led the Colts Band since its inception.
During the reunion concert, each director will take the podium and lead the CMS Band for a 30-minute performance. Bankston will direct at 3 p.m., Nielsen at 3:30 p.m., Parkan at 4 p.m. and Despain/Allen at 4:30 p.m.
Former students from all eras of the 44-year history of the CMS band are invited to hang out, and even play in this reunion concert.
