The Atascocita Eagles Esports team had a triumphant showing at the state tournament held at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. Not only did the Eagles participate in multiple games, but they also achieved outstanding results, making the entire Humble ISD community proud.
Three underclassmen teams qualified for the state tournament and secured an impressive 1st, 3rd, and 9th place finish in Mario Kart. The spotlight shines brightly on junior Devon Graham and sophomore Logan Litherland, who have been crowned the UNDISPUTED 2024 State Champions! Their incredible win is a testament to their talent and the dedication of their volunteer coach, and Computer Science teacher, Stephanie Davila. The Mario Kart team will be accepting challengers during all lunches on Tuesday, May 28, start practicing!
The Overwatch team, coached by volunteer Michael Yuchs (Biology), practiced relentlessly 3-4 times weekly since August and brought home a commendable 5th-place finish.
The Valorant team, coached by Esports & Graphic Design teacher Christian Box, secured a strong 9th-place finish.
This accomplishment is a true team effort, and a huge shoutout goes to all the students, their families, and the teachers who supported them throughout the journey. Congratulations to the Atascocita Eagles Esports for making The Atascocita High School proud!
Ann Wehrman and Christian Box proudly sponsor the Atascocita Eagles Esports program.
