Athletic training compasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Atascocita High School employs three licensed and nationally certified athletic trainers that oversee 15 sports at the middle school, freshmen, junior varsity, and varsity levels as well as our band and dance team. These staff athletic trainers are available at all home games and practices to evaluate injuries and provide immediate care. Please contact us with any questions or concerns dealing with the health care of your athlete, band, or dance team member.

Athletic Training Program

AT student picture 23-24

The AHS Athletic Training Program is made up of students that assist the staff athletic trainers with the care of athletes and the operation of the athletic training room. Athletic training students are vital in running a successful sports medicine program as they provide extra eyes, ears, and hands to an athletic program of our size and caliber. They are the "team behind the team," and selflessly put in countless hours of work outside of school to provide care to our sports teams.
