As we close out the first 3 weeks in The Swamp, we want to give you an opportunity to nominate your child’s teacher or any employee that you feel deserves recognition for being amazing! Our staff have truly enjoyed the start to this school year, working with you and your child(ren). Being nominated by our students and parents/guardians is a highlight that we love to showcase each month! We are now taking nominations for the month of August! Please nominate who you feel should be recognized as Employee of the Month by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30th! Parents & students are encouraged to nominate! Thank you!
DRESS CODE - ID BADGES
Review our Dress Code policy on our website!
ID BADGES: ID badges were distributed to several students on Friday, August 25th. Students are expected to wear their ID badges on a school appropriate lanyard every day. Badges must be on PRIOR to entering the building. If your child did not receive their ID badge, they will be called to get their badges this week through their science classes. We are starting with 6th graders and moving to 7th/8th graders.
Students that leave their badge at home will need to obtain a temporary badge from the morning ID stations ($1.00 each). These temporary badges are good for 1 day. To replace a lost ID badge, students will need to pay $5 for a new badge and lanyard. All payments for temporary and permanent badges need to be made using the ARMS website Online Payments/ RevTrak green tab.
ARMS FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGES (8/29 & 8/30)
Please review our campus details for the football scrimmages this week. It details times, parking, seating, etc. for both days. Thank you!

JOIN OUR CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLANNING COMMITTEE
Each year, ARMS engages in a plan to support student success, academically and socially/emotionally! We are looking for parent, student and community support in working with our Campus Improvement Planning Committee. To partner with us, you would be joining our team to plan for ensuring that our students are learning and growing each day. The committee will review our campus plans and provide input/feedback/review to our current process quarterly (or as needed). If you are interested in joining our team as a parent, business partners, or student, please complete our CIP Planning Team form to sign up! We look forward to working with you to plan around the following goals to ensure the success of our Gators!
Academics
School Safety & Security

Strengthening our Gator Family & Climate/Culture
Financial Management
POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS & SUPPORTS - PBIS
As we work with our Gators on doing things “The Gator Way”, please help us in reminding students to keep their hands/feet to themselves. We are seeing an increase in students “playing” by hitting each other in a joking manner. We do not encourage nor do we allow students to hit or put their hands on each other. As students are learning how to interact with each other in the middle school years, it is important that we are consistent in sending the message that the expectations are to keep their hands to themselves. Encourage them to seek out a teacher, counselor, administrator, or any adult for any help/assistance that they need. We appreciate your support in ensuring that they learn to navigate appropriate interactions during this transitional time.
Gator Bucks are being rewarded for positive behaviors and will be able to be redeemed for prizes and patio time during lunches this week. Students are encouraged to bring their Gator Bucks with them to lunch this week! Students that leave them in the classroom will not be allowed to return to the classroom, so they will have another opportunity to redeem their Gator Bucks at the next opportunity!
