A record-setting 10 Humble ISD campuses received the prestigious CREST (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas) Counseling Excellence Award for 2023 from the Texas School Counselor Association earlier in February.
On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the lead counselors for those 10 campuses were honored along with their campus principals at the monthly Board of Trustees meeting.
Humble ISD Director of Personalized Student Success Dr. Melissa Leigh made the presentation and the following staff members were present:
Atascocita Springs Elementary: Chanel Thompson and Principal Cheryl Fennell
Groves Elementary: Andrea Jean and Principal Angela Bland
River Pines Elementary: Stephanie Zamora and Principal Rachel Dunn.
Kingwood Middle School: Erin Gutierrez and Principal Michael Curl
Riverwood Middle School: Shayla Green and Principal Matthew Roser
Timberwood Middle School: Jennifer Carter and Principal Ken Buck
Woodcreek Middle School: Mariana Reyes and Principal Dr. Alan Moye
Atascocita High School: Anita Stetson and Principal Will Falker
Humble High School: Esteban Costante and Principal Dairus Cosby
Kingwood High School: Stella Campbell and Principal Dr. Michael Nasra and Associate Principal Meredith LeBlanc
Along with the 10 campus counselors and principals being honored, Dr. Leigh also recognized the work of Humble ISD Director of Personalized Counseling Tye Hobbs with a Board Commendation.
