Foster Elementary will be rebuilt during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years. The new campus will be built to the standard of today’s schools, with larger classrooms, technology and security features. The new building will have a capacity for 800 students and is expected to open for the 2026-2027 school year.
While the campus is being rebuilt, Foster students and staff will need to be at another location. Foster currently sits on a 9.7 acre tract of land, which is not enough space to safely hold school while an active construction site is underway on the existing property.
Foster Elementary students will have classes at the following elementary campuses for the 2024-2025 school year:
Kindergarten - Willow Creek Elementary School (app. 76 students)
1st Grade - Deerwood Elementary School (app. 76 students)
2nd Grade - Shadow Forest Elementary School (app. 73 students)
3rd, 4th, 5th Grade - Hidden Hollow Elementary School (app. 270 students total; 103 3rd grade students, 84 4th grade students and 83 5th grade students)
Special Education SPEAK classes would be at Elm Grove Elementary School (app. 9 students) and Woodland Hills Elementary School (app. 7 students)
Pre-K general education classes - Greentree Elementary School
Pre-K special education classes - Oaks and Woodland Hills elementary schools
For the 2025-2026 school year:
Foster students who attended a campus for the 2024-2025 school year will remain at that same campus for 2025-2026. Example: Foster Elementary students who attended Kindergarten at Willow Creek would remain at Willow Creek for 1st Grade.
Incoming Kindergarten would be held at Hidden Hollow Elementary School
Special education SPEAK classes would be held at Elm Grove and Woodland Hills elementary schools.
