Centennial Elementary School

This week for Reading in 5th grade, we were learning about recognizing characteristics and structures of informational texts. We also read an argumentative text about how eating insects can help save the planet, and we researched evidence to see if we really believe this. We learned about making connections between informational texts and argumentative texts. We also learned about some of the most dangerous jobs in the world, including Snake Milking! Here is a picture of myself and some of our 5th graders eating cotton candy flavored crickets to help tie into our Saving the Planet lesson!
