This week in first grade, students focused on fiction text and were able to determine who the characters of a text are and where the story was taking place. We also found different ways to make ten using manipulatives! Learning is so much fun when we are engaged and working with our team!

It has been a great week. Students are really settling back into our school routines and continuing to earn their Bulldog Bucks. In RELA, students are working hard to build their reading stamina and are looking forward to our rock activity called "Kindness Rocks," to help us remember our words have strength. We also began growing plants in our science lessons!

Happy National Hamburger day!

Fifth grade students have been learning how to compare, order, round and model decimals. This week, our students started adding and subtracting decimals. This picture shows some of our 5th graders creating a math game in Español for their classmates to use as decimal review.

CE Scientists are learning how to be safe in the lab. We are working on learning what Science is and talking about what Scientists do. We are also using teamwork and creativity to build with different mediums.

4th grarde says...What a great start to the beginning of the school year. We have had a great time getting to know each other with icebreakers, morning greetings, engaging activities and learning our new routines and procedures. Our 4th graders are definitely "On T.R.A.C.K." because our students have already earned an abundance of Bulldog Bucks. We can't wait to cash in our bucks for some awesome prizes. We look forward to diving into our curriculum next week!

In first grade, we read the book Our Class is a Family and made new friends. We learned about classroom procedures and routines. We promised to follow our school motto. We are World Changers. We are the Effect!
